I dunno, my brothers, I keep hearing Princeton and Apple's name mentioned together, and it's always in the context of something
suspicious or tragic or bad. And it's funny too, because Princeton used to be like one of the last bastions of hardcore Mac
Faithful back in the day. Look at PMUG now, though, and it's like going to MFI. Want a laugh? Read page one of a back issue
of their newsletter.
Anyway, there was a fire two years ago, where supposedly a Power Mac G4 ignited a blaze that ripped through a science lab. Princeton's insurance company is trying to sue Apple. Like faulty wiring in the CPU caused the fire. I guess it's in the news now, because there's a hearing in early April. Apple's name also came up in 2003 when a Princeton digikid who ran a music sharing server on campus got snagged during some gnutella witch-hunt, and was slapped with a multi million dollar lawsuit by the Recording Industry Association of America. After that, I remember seeing a buddy of the Princeton digikid go on CNN and basically shilled for Apple and iTunes in response to the RIAA crackdown. My crapdar blipped over that one, the whole interview sounded fishy and set up. |

You missed a perfect opportunity to say "at least I'm not the only one burned by Apple"...
-- I do care. I just want to have a beer while I care. |

Tee hee, brother mighty.
Hey, one of the upper-ups at PMUG, a true Mac Faithful dinosaur from the golden age, croaked of a brain tumor in February. When I look at Aqua, I get a lancing pain in my temples. I wonder... |
