Matt Neuburg on the rather crummy food and accommodations at WWDC 2006 earlier this month:

Lunches were plastic salad and plastic sandwiches in plastic containers; breakfast was nearly non-existent. Snacks between talks were dried-up pastry. One evening there was something that pretended to be pizza; it was so bad that people were literally gasping in disbelief.

Man, they are really stupid. I mean, pissing off your developers is just stupid. stupid stupid stupid. Apple.

Apple *IS* dead fish... still... lol.

It reminds me of the last Macworld expo I went to. The most disappointing thing ever, when I remember the glory days.

At one of my FIRST Macworlds, I think I had pretty much the best Reuben I ever ate. Yeah, the fare was pretty much sandwiches, hotdogs and burgers, but they were QUALITY. It was like better street food, not the worst.

The last one I went to, I could barely choke down whatever the hell it was... and washing it down with a tiny bottle of two dollar water had me shaking my fists in the air.

In the old days, there was hot chicks and high energy and it was something to be MacFaithful. Now, it's just so sad. Bad food at WWDC? There's no excuse for that.
