Brothers,

recently i'm sorting out all my data like a madman, because this myth that you don't need to sort anything because you have a wonderful search-engine is complete BULL to me.
...
So, Finder is starting to crawl and beachball when folders hold some more files than twenty, we know that. I had this "download"-folder with approx. 2500 files inside. Most of them pretty tiny files, gifs, jpg, txts, pdf, etc. Some folders inside containing .movs... Opening these in listview make the finder stall for a while, great, moving stuff from these folders makes the finder stall again. Most advanced OS anyone? ... Anyway, it's shit tech and i don't care anymore...

Then, i decided to use icon-view for picture-laden folders. After that i thought "Icon-view would look better with black background..." (similar to Adobe Bridge or Graphicconverter Browser-Mode) ... I altered the background-color of icon view and got THIS:

Is this a joke or what? Is this the same symptom that makes black labels impossible? Most advanced OS? Steve? Hello?

My addiction to beer is now morphing into a tasty addiction to wine.

No, it's not fixed: Leopold eats black text on a black background. Leopold's Finder, however, is much faster than Tiger's for me, on the same machine.

Smithz just highlight one of the images so you can see the text.

Then scroll between the files using the arrow keys. Big Grin

Rico, this is just great. Like wandering around aimlessly in an old ghost train amusement park. Big Grin

See what endless variety Mac OS X supplies in customization.

You are not just navigating around your files it is like a video game as you do it.
