That should be about half the stock he owned in Apple. When it's all over, there'll be two people laughing: One because he ripped'em off badly again, and the other one because he didn't fall for the X-thang. And another interesting read: http://www.thestreet.com/tech/gamesandgadgets/10273658.html Wow. What an innovative company. No wonder OS X sucks. The direction is clear. Glad i've never been X-ed. |

He just sold half the APple stock he owned. But i'm perfectly sure he still believes in the company. We all know one iPod shouldn't be enough for everyone, so there's a future. Maybe that's one of the reasons: http://blogs.adobe.com/scottbyer/2006/03/macintosh_and_t.html Adobe is struggling hard with the "just a recompile" switch. There'll be no Adobe CS2 native for Intel. CS3 will be available for the IntelMac "workstations" which means they might start coding it when these phantoms hit the street, but not before. And on what release ? 10.5 ? 10.6 ? And it will be developped from scratch in large parts which means more beta-testing for Apple users. It's going down fast now. This message has been edited. Last edited by: klapauzius, |

Oh yeah its going down fast now. Apple is in such a horrible financial position. If only they had a hit product or two that was flying off the shelves.
I have returned. |

I thought that was what you were saying. Brother please tell us something we don't know already. What you want the finacial page to say you linked and what it actually says are two entirely different things. The finacial page shows a two year table on preferred Apple stock. Stock owned by Apple employees. Essentially the dollar signs are all on paper. I am not an expert on corporate stock but there are sum alternatives to your sinister conclusion. One within the past two years Jobs was diagnosed with a serious illness. He was treated for pancreatic cancer. When cancer strikes the pancreas it is not a good thing. Second within the last two years Apple issued a 2 for 1 stock split to common Apple share holders. That is the genreal public who were holding outstanding common shares say 100 shares now own 200 shares. How such things work must involve Preferred stock that is rolled into common shares. Brother Klappy you are not from somewhere like East Berlin. This could explain your misunderstanding of capitalism. The second link well Troy looks like he is about 19 years old. The article is about what a 19 year old would paste together. Frankly it was a bunch of nonsense. It had no point. Adobe has already made their plans clear to the public. CS 3 will be universal binary. It will run on both RISC and CISC cpu's. CS 2 is not being ported to run on CISC. The problem lies where here? Maybe if you are a "pro" that relies on Adobe products moving to say a new MacBook Pro immediately might not be the smartest thing to do until Adobe releases CS 3. This is not rocket science. |

Also remember that Steve's actual salary from Apple is $1. He's still doing that, right?
Where's he gonna get beer and hooker money if he doesn't cash in some of that stock? LOL. Worse than Steve conning us, to me, would be him conning us and not being able to relax in a platinum jacuzzi with Sydney Moon and Veronika Zemanova, drink champagne, and light cuban cigars with $1000 bills, LOL. Oh yeah, no way I'd get any Intel Mac until the Adobe thing is all cleared up, and is proven to be faster and more reliable than Power PC. The last thing I can afford right now is buying all new hardware and software. Feels like I just did that. But all my Macs are OS X now with only Classic for the legacy. I haven't used a Mac actually booted into OS 9 for a while now. I find I miss it. I still think that what needs fixing is the OS. The interface and the Finder, if the Mac is ever gonna be good for pros again. At this point I'd crap settle for anything just for a change from the Terrible Tiger interface. Sometimes I think if I see one more crystal sausage or candy button, I'm gonna puke my guts out. |

Exactly. That would be sometime around 2008. Until then, who's gonna buy a mac ? Oh yeah right, the kiddies listening to Christina and Britney on their 2000-bucks-macbookpro. Hit me baby one more time. Starts sounding like the mac-anthem to me. By the way, until then Windows will run on IntelMacs just fine, thank you. Adobe would be out of their mind if they ported ANYTHING to Intel-OS X any more then. By the way, M$ just announced that they sold 5 million XBox'es and will ramp up production to meet the demand. With Apple, IBM wouldn't have sold that many processors in five years. It's going down fast now. This message has been edited. Last edited by: klapauzius, |
