Indeed, what is up with the casual tone in this tech support article: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=300501 First, the folksy, I'm-on-your-side use of the word "gibberish", then the just-barely-not-ghetto "what's up with that?" If he had started the article with "Yo, check it" and ended it with "peace out" it would not have been any more unprofessional sounding than it already was. Helpful as the article may be, I just expect a dry Spock-like delivery for this stuff, leave the personality to iPod ads... It's as if Apple Support is somebody's personal blog <shudder>. Maybe in another 5 years it'll sound like thalo.net and they start saying things like bloated, craptacular, happy horseshit and visual superabundance? I can dream...This message has been edited. Well Well If it isn't the MightyQ. You must be on your third or fourth Thai wife by now. Apple discussions have posters with upwards of 80 to 90 thousand posts. So in some sense it is somebodies personal blog.

Ahhhh, brother mighty. How's life treatin' ya, man?
yes, sounding pretty opensource, isn't it? On the heels of this, .mac changes to webmail and soon iTunes store downloads will get overhauled to closely resemble a P2P network. I think these are just the thin-spots of the con... where they can't keep up the illusion of a commercial product all the time, and we start to see through it.
