I thought I'd try listening to the new Mac podcasts... I picked one called "MacCast"... kind of interesting, but holy crap. Eye roll city.

The thing that riled me up the worst was listening to this guy ream people for not adopting OS X, because the process for checking extension conflicts was so horrendous and time consuming... then literally in the next breath, he describes how to fix some stupid garageband problem, by installing plugins or whatever one at a time.

I laughed out loud. Listen to today's MacCast and you'll hear what I'm talking about. This smug anti-legacy attitude, followed by these unbelievably complicated and counterintuitive technical solutions. Geeks are in their glory.

Great, I wanted to try out podcasts too... installed OutOfTune 4.9 and this bastard simply crashes when i start to listen to anything. I am too lazy to solve this problem.

Maybe it's because i disabled spotlight, i dunno.

Someone should create a hail_less_is_more podcast. But it may be pearls before swine.

X is great for bittorrent stuff here. nothing else. Aaaand OS X makes me an alcoholic, Prost.

I think a thalo.net podcast would be great. People tell me I have a radio voice, lol. Ya think Apple would list it in iTunes? Smile

OK, you have to go listen to the email section of the MacCast for July 4th. I nearly laughed my ass off. There's an email from a typical X-Man on there. It went something like:
quote:
I want to hear good news about Apple, not the bad... as if there aren't enough bad things going today in the world... the last thing an Apple customer wants to hear is that Apple is falling or having a bad time on the market... I want to hear good news, I want to feel good to be an Apple customer... I want a podcast that supports Apple customers and its products.

My eyes rolled so fast they nearly caught fire. Thankfully the podcaster rebutted fairly well, and spelled out the difference between news and propaganda.
