A sad day for the Mac Faithful
I don't know what to say, brothers. This one hurts. I mean really bad. Let's go get friggin' drunk, and drink a toast to a real hot damn thinker. |

Jef left us at far too young an age.
At least some good came out of this because it reminded me that I have some old and dear friends here. I may not post very often, but I often think about you guys; even the closet homos here. You know who you are. Be well. |

Ahhh, a visit from brother Snobby to heal the heart. Hey man.
I threw my Aqua Velva right in the garbage because you just turned me into a homophobe. And I can't be one in an industry where you make more money if you can somehow convince your clients you might be gay. That snippet of a Jef Raskin interview posted by brother Markle is ringing in my brain. That's who we needed to fix friggin' stupid AQUA. Apple is, I'm sure, using the success of the iPod to con themselves into thinking they're a better COMPUTER company than they really are. Unfortunately, to get back to being a great computer company, they have to work on the Mac interface. THEY have to "Think Different" not us. And they have to start by stopping the assumption that computer users are chimps, and that if there's enough eye candy, we won't notice that they aren't doing their job in the software and OS departments. |
