I like that camera a lot. Less is more. The black and silver one is definitely the nicest. Though the yellow and black would work with my branding, as those are the thalo, inc. company colors. But if I were those guys, I would have gone with an all-black version too. That would have been sweet.

"Winter Shoe" is a perfect advertising product shot. A terrific edginess. I see it as the cover of a slick four color catalog for a winter shoe company. You've even left room for the text.

I already have a Pentax. Got this one for free, lens included.

It is kaputt, though, but the lens might still be good. Broeders, those viewfinders of old were something else, so big, so clear. Pentax should build a manual focus digital camera with an old school viewfinder.

That is funny I like the Black & White one. But yeah I see nothing wrong with the design of the K-01. The Pentax boards people are flipping out that the camera is ugly. It is ridiculous. It is a great compliment to Pentax shooters because you can use all your lenses on it. The sensor is a tweaked variant of the K-5 sensor. The video controls are really excellent.

The lack of a viewfinder is another thing people are screaming about. They should have at least allowed for a hotshoe EVF. As is I don't think they can add one as there is no terminal to supply extra info to an EVF unless they can do it all through the hotshoe contacts.

For video I think I would get a GoPro. This is the perfect discreet camera to capture video on the street. The GoPro is really small.

Winter Shoe yikes it looks like you need new winter shoes the tread is gone on that one!

Broeder yabor those old Pentax Film cameras were great. The ME was nice. The MX was fully manual. You don't even need a battery for it to work. The MX finder is even nicer than ME. That lens is the low end kit 50mm lens. It is only F2. I have one from my first camera ever a K1000. You should look for those old Pentax screw mount Takumar lenses. They are fantastic for your 5D as all you need is a canon screwmount adapter. The Tak 28mm f3.5 is a great lens. The Tak 50mm f1.4 lens are great too. The 55mm f1.8 is another great one. You can find them really cheap and many times they are in like new condition. You will flip out over the build quality.

Well, the K-01 is certainly a departure from the norm. I like Brother Yabor’s idea of, for his purposes, the camera being a little friendlier. He should know. No doubt with his very professional-looking equipment he looks like Mike Wallace from 60 Minutes who has come to ask some tough questions about an impending scandal.

But I must admit I like the traditional look of SLR’s. Love the idea of YaborCam which would be that GoPro model that Rico pointed out.

We're both snot machines at the moment, but no matter -- or rather, zuster P. has to sing in her choir and needs her voice tip top, which it isn't.

That picture of Loekie walking on the fence is great.

I also love the expression on the dog's face in "fur coat"... he looks so alarmed. Funny.

Hope zuster feels better and her voice heals. Make tea with grated fresh ginger root and honey. Tell her to drink it as hot as she can. Very good for the voice.

It's our Zuster's birthday today!

She's 42 years old, which is pretty damn old for a female, but there it is, broeders. We'll have to deal with it.
