Okay, it's a given that many of us are bisexual. We might use a PC at work and a Mac at home, that sort of thing. And I'm sure all of you are EXTREMELY productive at work and NEVER listen to mp3s in the background. But if you did, and if you were using a PC, what's the best music organizer ala iTunes? I use WinAmp to actually play the music but there are a whole slew of programs that organize your music and simply shuffle it off to WinAmp for playing. I've tried Dapyx and it seems pretty good, but before buying it I wanted to get some other opinions.

Well, if you crowd the plate, any pitcher worth his salt is gonna come inside.

I bet if I'd have asked an iTunes question you guys would have volunteered to come over to my house and set it up. Sheesh. Wink [Hmmm...do I reach for Marketing 101 or Psychology 101? How 'bout both?]

PC's are such crap. Can you believe they make me work on this POS at work? But I get back at them. I usually spend some time downloading and listening to a few mp3s instead of slaving away like a drone in an Excel spreedsheet. Been having a bit of problem though lately. I just LOVE iTunes but I can't quite find anything even half as good on the PC. Any of you guys know something that at least isn't totally lame?

I gave up using an MP3 player on any workstation. I only use my iPod, which is clipped to my belt while I work, $140 Sony big ass headphones around my neck...

Hot damn! Are you THE might JohnQ? Well, of course you are. Swear to God that I was thinking about posting a thread just to troll for you. Welcome. But I sound kind of stupid saying "welcome" because this place is as much yours as mine. But welcome all the same anyway, you fellow son-of-a-gun curmudgeon.

iPod clipped to belt... Sony headphones... barely leaves you room on your body for you Newton and its sheath! How do you manage it, do you wear it on a chain around your neck? Smile

I’ve got some big-ass Sony headphones as well, John, but that's the home set-up and they do sound great. Our music system at work is a little different. No headphones, but ear protection is advised. In one room I might have Rush Limbaugh, Drunken Boat or XTC blaring (all wonderfully obnoxious) from the stereo; step into the press room and you’re as likely to find Enya, Howard Stern or John Williams rising over the sounds of machinery and cutting through the fumes of whatever the hell my brother is trying to kill us all with.

Oh, and I must confess that half the time my office is filled with silence – both audibly and visibly as I work in OS 9. Big Grin
