Rico, get the free edition of AVG (or the pay version of you want more features). I've been using the free one on three different computers for over a year now with good results. The Windows geek down the hall recommends it as well. But just put the gun down and walk away. Don't even think about using either Norton or McAfee. They are intrusive, problematic programs. They cause more problems than they are worth.

Rico. How'd that AVG work out for you? The reason I ask, I'm looking for a very low footprint anti-virus freeware software for an old PC laptop that I have. I know that AVG has turned into a pig (although you can shut a lot of it off). Wondered if you'd run into anything you might be able to suggest.
Is the Doctor in?

I think I had been asking for an old friend. I don't know how it worked out or if they ever attempted using it. Wow hard to believe that was almost 2 years ago.
