Seems to be fairly smooth on the G5.

I think there are some guys who know how to cheat. I swear, I've pumped round after round into them, and they don't die.

I installed the Classic Quake mod into Quake III. I don't know if this is a model of Quake II or I. But it's kind of interesting in it's relative primitiveness. Some of the weapons are cool too.

What do I need to get to play Quake on the Mac? Do I have to buy anything?

I still think we should all meet on some Urban Terror server and play. I am getting the hang of some things, but it does seem like everyone on there is blazingly accurate, where I'm not.

I checked out UT2004 yesterday, a game i've never played before. Quite nice actually.

It's very easy to set up an Urban-Terror Server, i could do that on my second Mac. The only question is about time-zones. When you have the time to shoot a few bullets and how does that mean to europeans like me? :-)

Agree about the skills of other players in UrbanT. Some are too good, but after playing this thing for days it's not cheating most of the time. They're just very experienced.

My favourite map is "Ryiadh".

Okay, I finally signed on. I think when you run into me (if the name shows) you can figure out who I am. I keep getting "connection interrupted" messages every once in a while. That sitting-duck stalls me for a while. Framerates are horrible, but with a grenade, you don't have to be too accurate. But I didn't see anyone else in there. If you heard some madman just shooting up barrels and stuff, that was me.

i would say lag. you had a ping around 250-270, my ping was approx 40-50 ... what are you using? dsl?

That Rhyad is a pretty cool map. Christ, I can't imagine how amazingly brutal it would be with five or six guys. I think I'd just hole up somewhere with a shotgun. LOL.
