That is odd. I don't check my email regularly but that email address looks to still be active. I can be pretty dense. When I became an apostle I did not notice for a while until HH started calling me Jesus and what not.

Well, this seems to be a thalo.net anomaly. We now have have a moderator who actually reads the forum and regularly posts here. Don't know what that sounds like to you --- to me, it sounds like a real advantage.

From what I can gather from observing other forum moderators around the Internet the ideal moderator is, narrow-minded, biased, bigoted, insular, inward-looking, intellectually limited, prejudiced, restricted, shallow, small-minded, dogmatic, callous, mean, petty, arbitrary, fairly stupid, and rather contemptible. I'm not certain that I could live down to the honor.
I see your problem though. Here at thalo.net we have a lack of people who possess these ideal moderator traits so you have to do the best you can.
Well, as long as I don't have to do anything I guess it's okay. Any more than that and I'll require more pay. After all, the needed frontal lobotomy will probably cost a pretty penny.
Yeah, well, we break the moderator mold here. Crappy moderators at MFI and Apple is personally why I am here. If I could have expressed my opinions and philosophy at either of those places without squelching, I'd have never started this place.
But I'm sure glad I did. Because now "Free and Open" means free and open. No ifs, ands, or buts. Nobody, and I mean nobody has ever been shut up here. Nobody's even tried to test the boundaries. Because face it, there's online behavior that WOULD get people booted or censored... but nobody's really gone there. We've been here since May 1, 2003 and this place isn't full of skinheads or purveyors of kiddie porn. Imagine that. No rules didn't instantly lead to Lord of the Flies. Then you look at the things that flip out moderators of other sites... it just makes me laugh. This whole medium--everywhere but here--is loaded with friggin' fragile little babies. One wrong word, and you snap off the little horn of their glass-menagerie-unicorn-sense-of-self.
Perfectly wonderful discussions get shut down for the most ridiculous reasons imaginable. Because this place isn't loaded with control freaks, we're the bad boys of all Mac sites. People actually FEAR coming here and participating. Pussies.
